Melik Ohanian – El Agua de Niebla

This installation was originally designed for the Grange aux Dîmes of the Abbey of Maubuisson, as part of the exhibition From The Voice To The Hand, in 2008. Suspended from one end to the other of the nave, the hammock it spread over 41 meters long.
The 72,000 m of yarn composing the work was woven by hand, according to a traditional Mexican technique, by several families from the village of Mayapán.

The work has also been exhibited at FIAC 2011, at the Tuileries gardens.
